- Mar 03, 2017 Important - This is for the Wii, and is NOT for the Wii-U or the Wii Mini. There's a different thread for the Wii-U, and the Wii Mini cannot be modded. Step 1: Connect the Wii to the internet in the Wii Settings menu (Internet, then Connection Settings). You may need to drop the security on your router to WPA as the Wii does not support WPA2.
- Connect your storage device to your Wii or Wii U and start The Homebrew Channel. Select Nintendont. Notes The Wii and Wii U SD card slot is known to be slow. If you're using an SD card and are having performance issues, consider either using a USB SD reader or a USB hard drive. USB flash drives are known to be problematic.
- Nintendontforwarder - Just a forwarder to sd:/apps/nintendont/boot.dol, no autoboot nintendontdefaultautobooter - Boots included wii vc game with default config nintendontforce4by3autobooter - Boots included wii vc game and forces 4:3 (useful if you have a game thats not compatible with widescreen).
This is technically able to block your wii, but will most likely result in you not being able to play GameCube games, but this can be solved in the future when a GameCube Mios fixer/restorer is released. Before you do this instructable you need to already have The Homebrew Channel, DVDx, Wii backup launcher 0.3 gamma with cIOS7 on your wii.

Quick Installation:
Nintendont Forwarder Wii U Download
- Get theloader.dol, rename it to boot.dol and put it in /apps/Nintendont/ along with the filesmeta.xmlandicon.png.
- Copy your GameCube games to the /games/ directory. Subdirectories are optional for 1-disc games in ISO/GCM and CISO format.
- For 2-disc games, you should create a subdirectory /games/MYGAME/ (where MYGAME can be anything), then name disc 1 as 'game.iso' and disc 2 as 'disc2.iso'.
- For extracted FST, the FST must be located in a subdirectory, e.g. /games/FSTgame/sys/boot.bin .
- Connect your storage device to your Wii or Wii U and start The Homebrew Channel.
- Select Nintendont.
Notes
- The Wii and Wii U SD card slot is known to be slow. If you're using an SD card and are having performance issues, consider either using a USB SD reader or a USB hard drive.
- USB flash drives are known to be problematic.
- Nintendont runs best with storage devices formatted with 32 KB clusters. (Use either FAT32 or exFAT.)
